Jayanta Kumar Bora



Jayanta Kumar Bora is a guest researcher at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), Demography Group/ Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital (IIASA, VID/ÖAW, WU), Vienna since August 2017. He holds a Master’s Degree in Statistics from the Gauhati University, Assam, India and received Degree in Master of Population Studies (MPS) from International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, India.

Mr. Bora’s research interests lie mainly in Child health, Child mortality, Climate and environment and Health inequality. Currently he is doing his PhD on regional and social inequality in child health in India form Indian Institute of Dalit Studies (IIDS) New Delhi, in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU), Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh, India
