Paolo Vicerra




Paolo Miguel Vicerra joined the World Population (POP) Program as a Research Assistant in October 2018. He works on reassessing the concepts and measures within the study of ageing. Mr. Vicerra is a PhD candidate at the College of Population Studies, Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.

His research interest is on the cognitive health of older persons and how it interacts with other health dimensions. His focus is on the influence of social factors within the paradigm of health and well-being. Prior to joining IIASA, he was involved with research projects of different government agencies and international organizations in the Philippines and Thailand. He holds an MA in Demography from Chulalongkorn University. His BA was from the University of the Philippines and parts of this was completed at Nihon University in Japan.
