About

Brian Buh joined the Vienna Institute of Demography in September 2020. He is a member of the BIRTHLIFE project team as well as pursuing a PhD in demography at the University of Vienna. His research interests include fertility and competing/complementary life course domains, micro-level behavioural decision making, uncertainty and the labour market. Before starting at the VID, Brian completed an MSc in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Iowa. He also spent several years working and teaching in Chile and Hong Kong.
