Mae Abigail Oberos joined the Department of Demography at the University of Vienna in October 2022 as a research assistant, focusing on the collection of indicators on late fertility in Asia.
Mae Abigail Oberos is currently studying for a master's degree in Global Demography at the Department of Demography at the University of Vienna. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Statistics in 2009 and her Master in Statistics in 2015 at the University of the Philippines. In 2016, she completed an MA in Development Studies with a focus on Economics at the International Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Prior to joining the Department of Demography, Mae worked for the Philippine Bureau of Labor and Employment Statistics and the Philippine Statistics Authority as a statistician, focusing on the development of new indicators and statistical methods for the enhancement of official statistics.
