Shalini Singh joined the University of Vienna in September 2022. She is a PhD scholar in the BIC.LATE project – (Biological, Individual and Contextual Factors of Fertility Recovery) whose principal investigator is Dr. Eva Beaujouan who also acts as Shalini Singh's supervisor.

Shalini Singh completed her Master of Philosophy in Population studies in 2021 and her Master of Science in Population Studies in 2020 from the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai, India. She received her Hons degree (B.sc Hons) in Statistics from Banaras Hindu University in 2018.
